A message to our patients regarding St Mawes Pharmacy

Faisel has informed the surgery that he has decided to end his NHS contract with effect from 29th March 2024.   We understand that this means he will no longer dispense NHS prescriptions and he will not provide NHS funded covid/flu vaccinations.  He has told us that he will continue to provide over the counter services and will dispense private medication.  He will also provide a private consultation service.

We recognise that funding for all pharmacies has been squeezed and certainly this is replicated in GP surgeries such as ours.

Roseland Surgeries is now working towards a solution so that we could potentially provide dispensing of medication for all of our patients who live in St Mawes, which would be able to be collected directly from St Mawes Surgery.  We may also be able to extend our home delivery service to those patients in St Mawes who are housebound.

The surgery continues to provide NHS and travel vaccinations for all of our patients, health checks, minor injury and illness consultations, along with health promotion, contraception and many other services.  These services will continue to be available at our St Mawes site.  We also have an in-house pharmacist available for advice and consultations regarding any medication query.

We will continue to keep our patients informed and hope to provide more information in the next few weeks.
